Prisoners definitely deserved at least honorable mention
  • @Professor-id4jh
Drive is a cinematic masterpiece. It's not a regular crime/gangster movie. It has so many layers of deep meaning inside it. And the soundtrack is awesome.
  • @Jaime.Lannister
This is probably the best list of 2021, especially putting NCFOM at number 1 is just damn right!
  • @lukeweaver4211
City of God is the best movie ever! Glad to see it’s getting it’s respect in this list
  • @gmyezerov
I can’t believe none of Guy Ritchie’s films are on this list 🤔
  • @ATLien712
Leo is one of the GOATs is what I take from this list

Hell Or High Water deserved much mention here. As brilliant and triumphant as No Country is, The Irishman has deconstructed and adds more dimensions to the crime genre by people who have arguably perfected the craft. Other than that, solid list although Spotlight has been associated with crime very, very loosely

  • @1966Zodiac
Thanks for including Zodiac!! That’s my favorite movie!! Also, Infernal Affairs(the original) is a lot better than The Departed in my opinion. I saw the departed first and wasn’t a huge fan, but then I saw Infernal Affairs. I thought it was much better.
  • @legionclips8910
Collateral is so underrated, movie does not get enough recognition
  • 'The Departed' became one of the best crime drama movies ever made. Jack Nicholson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg, and Martin Scorsese did a great job on that film.
  • Just rewatched No country for old men .. its freakin good from start to finish , the ending is kinda confusing .. But still great
  • @kyotosmash
The departed is such a great movie I’m glad to see it in the top 5
