Nintendo World Championships 1990 Gameplay (RGotD 9)

Published 2012-09-21
It's the reproduction of the holy grail of NES games, played on a real NES!

Watch as I attempt to get an awesome score in this legendary game! This definitely isn't my best run as I make a lot of mistakes in Rad Racer and make some questionable moves in Tetris (it's always easier to see what you did wrong when you watch it after and aren't under pressure). The game was set to last for 6:21 just as it did in the actual tournament.

Sell this game at game stop and get 99 cents for it

It’s amezing how nintendo have moddified their games to interface with the os menu to track down high score, it must have been hard to do this as they had to reverse engineer each rom to do this.
  • The Gold variety of this game just sold for 2 million and that isn't even CIB just the cartridge

If this was basically the premise of The Wizard put into action in real life, then why did they decide against using SMB3 in the championships?

I don't remember over heating on rad racer if I was in that tournament I would have stomped on everyone

For all intents and purposes of what the game is, it really is a shitload of fuck. It just happens to be one of the rarest and most expensive shitloads of fuck ever.

Have you seen Pat the NES Punk on the show pawn stars? Check it out.

If they brought that game back on switch as some online monthly competition it would be awesome.

Anyone know if there’s a rom for this floating around?
