The Adam West Batsuit was actually blue, rather than purple. As production on the show went on, however, the lighting equipment used on set slowly deteriorated the blue into more of a purple color. It was never an intentional aspect of the costume.

When I hear people say that DC should have their own version of the MCU, I disagree. I feel that batman, as a character, was born to be played by many people. Every new interpretation introduces a new feel to the character. Actors are praised to play batman, and to get the news that you are to be the next batman must feel incredible! In a way, it's a bit like James bond or Dr who, where each actor brings their own ideas to the character.

When this evolution is inevitably updated to include Robert Pattinson, I hope you also go back and include his appearance from Mask of the Phantasm. It was tied to the animated series, of course, but it was a theatrical film! So it definitely should've been added here.
