LYRICS
hey, a casual affair
that could go anywhere
and only for tonight

take any moment, any time
a lover on the left
a sinner on the right

lay in the atmosphere
a casual affair
(hush-hush, don't you say a word)

break involuntary ties
a secret so the spies
could never find us out

stay for as long as you have time
so the mess that we'll become
leaves something to talk about

The official YouTube channel of multi-platinum rock band Panic! At The Disco. The band consists of Brendon Urie, Dan Pawlovich, Nicole Row, and Mike Naran.

Panic! At the Disco released its debut studio album ‘A Fever You Can't Sweat Out’ in 2005, which became certified double platinum in the US. Following in 2008, the band's album ‘Pretty. Odd.’ marked a significant departure from the band’s debut sound. 2011 brought the band’s 3rd album ‘Vices & Virtues’, which featured “The Ballad of Mona Lisa” and spent 10 consecutive weeks on the iTunes “Top Alternative Songs” chart. In 2013, the band released the album ‘Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!’, featuring “This Is Gospel”. Panic’s 2016 album ‘Death of a Bachelor’ spawned hits like the gold certified track "Hallelujah”. Most recently, the band released "Say Amen (Saturday Night)", the lead single from the 2018 studio album ‘Pray for the Wicked’.

While describing the record tracks, Brendon mentioned that Casual Affair was just sort of imagining the idea of an affair even though he's in a committed relationship. He said that both he and Sarah often talk to each other about their celebrity crushes, and even though they're married they both discuss what it would like being with other people. The song is obviously kinda cheater-y, but it's supposed to emphasize the whole theme of the album and the idea of "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas." It's supposed to be kind of a flirty yet dark song. Which is why I really like it. That and I love the techno rock vibes. tl;dr: brendon's not a manwhore and this song is still really great.

"just lay in the atmosphere," I'm crying and moaning at the same time
  • Beginning: Looks innocent enough doesn't it? But sometimes there are dangers involved that never meets the eye. no matter where you're meeting strangers, be careful if they are too friendly.

Girl That You Love, Casual Affair, and Far Too Young To Die all have this strange, dark, hazy feel to them and they all sound like their about disfunctional relationships in one way or another. Like I imagine a dimly lit bar with toned done purple and blue lights and two people dancing with each other in slow motion when I listen to them.

this is why brendon cried while performing it. the song is so fire, he had to put it out with his tears. leaves room

  • @robynharris9801
lmao, I just realized this song is about a man cheating on his wife for another man. That's why the anti-gay PSA plays in the beginning.
  • I wish Brendon would make an entire album with this and "The End of All Things" kind of aesthetic, feel, tone, and style.
  • "But sometimes there are dangers involved that never meet the eye. No matter where you meet a stranger, be careful if they're too friendly."

Stop whining about all the changes, whether it's about the sound or the members. They swore to shake it up and YOU swore to listen.
  • Hmm, intro voice clip from a super old video warning about dangers of homosexuals, and Brendon singing about a casual affair. IT MUST'VE HAPPENED
