Twister did more than make me briefly go through a phase of wanting to be a storm chaser - it showed me that with a durable enough pickup truck, you could easily drive directly through a four-bedroom house. It also made my stomach growl when Aunt Meg busted out the country cooking in her bohemian Oklahoman homestead: ribeyes with fried sunny-side-up eggs, mountains of fluffy mashed potatoes, and a rightfully famous gravy. And homemade lemonade, shit, I forgot the lemonade.

i like when people in movies makes breakfast like this and then takes a sip of jucie and runs off for work

This meal has lived in my head rent free since I was a child so I can’t even tell you how excited I am to see this episode.
  • Meg is so awesome, a bunch of rowdy, probably smelly boys come into her house and she's just like "ok, guess these are my children now." And instantly cooks enough food for an army. I salute this woman.

RIP to Bill Paxton, and Phillip Seymour Hoffman...🕊️

I love how Twister is a movie about big tornadoes and the thing people remember is food

In addition to the “Clean Plate Club” Babish should have an “immediate nap club”
  • I loved how Meg's was like "is this an invasion!?" Then instantly went "I must feed my new babies"
  • Rest in Peace Bill Paxton! Great recipe. For those of you who do not indulge in breakfast for dinner, you are missing out on one of life's greatest pleasures. My Mother use to make a delicious round steak simmered in mushroom gravey until fork tender and served it long side of fluffy homemade waffles well buttered with enough maple syrup that would puddle around that creamy steak. Wow, I need to sit down, I am a bit light headed from those childhood memories. 💞💞💞 Love you Mom, rest in peace.

Why does babish always walk in and stand still like he’s about to tell you “mom said it’s my turn in the Xbox”

Sure I don't eat beef but I make a pilgrimage to this video every few weeks

"I want that" When Meg hands Bill that massive plate

0:35 The "ain't a stew without celery" call-back to the Arthur Morgan's x Babish Bear Stew episode really caught me off guard. Glorious.

"Meg's gravy is famous. It's practically a food group." That movie was incredible for a tornado obsessed teenager like me. Went on to become a professional meteorologist and hobbyist chaser and have a great time laughing at all the inaccuracies in it. It's still a great watch all these years later.

I remember watching twister and that scene comes on and I always wanted to be sitting there with the team eating that awesome meal 👏

This movie made me want this exact meal. I begged my grandma to make it, she didn’t disappoint ☺️

RIP Bill Paxton and Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Both legendary actors who died way too soon.

That breakfast has made me instantly feel like I'm starving literally every single time I watch the movie. I could have just gotten home from an amazing night out with my fiancé at the best restaurant in the area; if I see the breakfast scene, my stomach immediately starts growling like I haven't eaten all day. I can't wait to make this

wow I watched this and then immediately made steak eggs and hash browns (didn’t feel like making mashed potatoes) and I thought I wouldn’t be able to finish it but he really means it when it enters the as clean as possible club. I’m gonna have to run around the state to make up for it but it was worth it :)
