This is very odd. On one hand, I don't understand why she would have perpetrated a hoax. On the other hand, this is odd and the video along that stretch of the freeway doesn't seem to corroborate her 911 call. If it is a hoax I don't understand what her payoff would be. I'm going to wait to see what comes out through the investigation. I feel like pieces of the puzzle are not available, therefore we can't get the whole picture.

This is very thorough - thanks for this analysis! One thing to correct would be the location of the restaurant where she picked up the food from - there are several Taziki's locations in metro-Birmingham but you highlighted the Chace Lake location, Carlee reportedly picked up food from the Colonnade location which is less than 2 miles away from her job.
