Could be a metaphor for whats happened this episode. Ghost had finally after all this time went legit, he became Jamie. Ghost is dead and thats what him being shot symbolises, Ghost dying.

There’s no power without ghost, it’ll be a boring show without him.

I think Courtney Kemp killed Ghost, because she wrote it all.

Ghost warned Breeze before killing him. Same did Tariq, when he went to club and asked his father last time about "do u sure about me to confess?"

There’s a lot to be said about this episode, but if Ghost is dead, I can appreciate this episode a lot more. He died believing he cut loose ends with Tommy and Tasha. He thought his son was going to take the murder wrap. He became public with the beautiful Ramona, bought his Dad’s club and just celebrated his run for lieutenant governor. In Ghost’s mind life was as perfect as it could be. His death was inevitable. All the big kingpins have to go out at some point and I hope they give Tommy a real G send off. But if Ghost HAD to die, I think it’s symbolic that he felt on top of the world before he did. “Completely legit” as he’d say.

Bad ass writing these last two episodes! I can’t believe Courtney wrote this last episode in a day WITHOUT discussing in with anybody.

I get this was supposed to be some super shocking event but honestly who didn’t see this coming when they were watching the episode. I mean I knew him being Governor was BS when they talked about it in the first 5 min of the show. That’s how u know it’s NOT gonna happen. And I knew some shit was gonna happen to ghost cuz he was being EXTRA cocky and rubbing his success in ppls faces pissing ppl off for no reason like Tate for example. The final nail in the coffin was the fact that he kept saying “No one can stop me” over and over to ppl like 5 times. The writers are literally telling u Ghost is about to get fucked up. For the record I don’t think he’s dead yet, might be in critical condition tho cuz it says who SHOT ghost not who KILLED him.

Ima say it was Mary J. Whoever was following Ghost then shot at him on the roof has to be trying to finish the job. Realistically though I'd also say it was Tariq. The theme of sons and fathers is rampant in this show. Plus he gave Ghost another chance like Ghost did Breeze.

If ghost really died the show is already over as far as I'm concerned

Theory: James has been sticking it to everyone throughout the episode (Tasha, Tommy, Dre, Tate, Paz, Tariq) and has brought them to their boiling point where they HATE him (including Saxe due the Ghost being this illusive to his crimes that Saxe couldn't prove) Ghost's plan was to bring them to that point where the hate each of them has turns to rage with intention to harm him or even kill him. His call to 2bit & Spanky were to get a fake shooter on himself, stage the "shooting" and turn all the attention to who shot Ghost (adding to that he is a high profile politician now). This way it makes any of them supposedly guilty of shooting Ghost with an investigation trying to nail the "shooter" which could be none of them at all

Cooper Saxe is the only dude I know that would still show up to work after getting fired lol

Ghosts never die

I guess by his son because the look on his face while falling from the balcony shows that he was surprised by the person who did it. He was seen falling down with bullets at the centre of his chest meaning that every other person coming after him were yet to enter the building but Tariq(his son) was seen coming down from the stairs after the shooting. He turned back to see who was behind him and got shot. Again, Tariq had earlier met with the dad to ask if he should surrender himself to the authority and he did that to have the last conviction on either to go ahead to kill his dad or not.

I should've known it ended in another cliffhanger.

One thing I'm certain of is ghost ain't dead. Why? Cos Angie would have seen it coming... you know Angie is like his guardian angel now.
