  • "I'm glad to know that Mrs. Patmore has a good heart and does not judge."
  • Finally! One of my favorite Cora moments. "You will have her next to you at dinner. And. You. Will. Like. It."

Cora supporting the servants feeding the soldiers and immediately sacking Nanny West after hearing her be cruel to Sybil and Tom’s daughter are her two greatest moments on the show.
  • "You're going to let them get away with it?" "Oh more than that, I'm going to help them and so are you." If only she knew how much O'Brien deserves that smackdown.
  • I so wish they did a prequel to Downton Abbey from the Edwardian era when Robert was a young man looking for a wife and Lady Violet was the reigning Countess Grantham. I wonder if the Levinsons came to Europe and took part in the London season, or if Robert sent to America by his parents to find a wealthy wife. I hope they find some formidable ladies to fill the roles of the younger Mrs Levinson and then Countess Violet Grantham. The first encounters must have been legendary! Not forgetting Carson's beginnings as a footman under a strict senior butler or Mrs. Hughes and Patmore's early years as house and kitchen maids. Or O´Brien as a young chambermaid - eek!

I love when Cora helps Anna and Bates at the restaurant.
  • I love Cora! It was her American spirit that saved Downton! She's one of my favorites next to Sybill.

Carson's face of shock n confusion while he watched Cora scolded Robert was priceless 😂😂
  • I know this is unrelated, but Cora looks like a fashion plate in every dinner scene 😍
  • The scene with Ethel makes me laugh to the point of tears every time I see it. Cora’s face at the revelation, Violets quips. It’s 👩🏻‍🍳💋

A true lady of the house! An iron fist in silk and beauty, I love her! <3
  • I've said it before, but when Mr. Bates hands the waiter his cane is the highlight of that entire situation. 🤭

"It seems a pity to miss such a good pudding" Oh Violet.....she hits it out of the park with every line of dialog she says! I love Maggie Smith!

One of my favorite Cora moments, this one where she tells off the Nanny, and when she says, to O'Brian, I'm going to help and so are you. I was always proud of Cora. She's American!!
  • That little clack of the tongue at 5:00. "I'm not even going to bother answering that silly question, I don't have time for that"

Float like a butterfly sting like a bee. Where is Cora’s scene calling Isobel’s bluff about leaving the Downton convalescent center? One of the best Cora moments ever.
