Have this in my office building. Really enjoy being warm all winter. Nice to see others going to this system. What will you do for cooling?
  • He does everything , very well I might add, makes the complex simple, I'm impressed.
  • Marshall, I'm a retired plumber, so take that into consideration; I have made a bunch of money replacing plastic potable water pipe and fittings, so I'm wondering if the couplers you have for repairing it are made from the same thing the PEX is or are metallic. All metal pipe embedded in a concrete pour is subject to the caustic effect of the concrete, and will fail if precautions aren't taken- most zoning authorities require even copper pipe run under concrete to be insulated, or jacketed. I would be leery of putting a metallic coupling into the pour without some form of jacket to seal it away from the concrete. I would rather use a hot melt system that fuses a same material coupler onto the PEX. If you would , expand on this; I've been away from the trade for a most of a decade now, but old habits are just that ; habits! FR
  • Very well designed. Awesome and thank you for sharing. I loved watching the 5 series radiant heat system. Are those still available?
  • @kenlee5015
Bizarre question; who would one hire to test an existing system or find info on it? Back story is I just bought a home that was built in 84. The owner/builder died years ago. Supposedly the lines are run through the fireplace, so it's self driven through pressure change (I think - there is a coil in sand located in a huge heat chamber). If I could tap into the old system with modern components, I'd like to try.
  • Smart running the electrical around posts. Watching a ton of vids before I decide pole barn is for us.
  • @keithscriven724
Where you ran the foam along the inside of the posts how did you keep concrete from bowing it between the posts
