Trying to listen to this in school without singing along is tough
  • @BabyStinkz
Violently shaking your head to the chorus on public transportation because Fall Out Boy is too much

Favourite song off the new album so far I think, really tight. Liking the trumpet (pretty sure it's a trumpet?) in there

Patrick's French is better than mine and he only said, like, two words.

I just appreciate that in the lyric is "mon cherie" (masculine) and not "ma cherie" (feminine)
  • To all the people complaining saying Infinity on High was "their last good album" ...Uhm, are you guys just ignoring the underrated brilliance of Folie a Deux ???

People are complaining saying they don't like fall out boys newer music and then you see that they comment on all of fall out boys new songs. Um. If you don't like them why are you still listening to them?? Honestly to all the people who hate save rock and roll and american beauty american psycho, go listen to what you do like instead of complaining... I love fall out boy they are my life even if their songs were all fart noises and yodeling they would still be my favorite band. So if the only album you enjoy is Infinity On High or From Under The Cork Tree or whichever one you prefer, the full album is on You Tube. Go listen to that instead of complaining.

All these one word titles are making me uncomfortable

I think what makes Fall Out Boy great is the fact that they don't care. They are gonna make music they like. It shows in the newer songs including Save Rock and Roll that they are not going to be tied down to a genre. Sure you can say they are "Pop" and too mainstream now. But Pop has evolved so much and it will continue to evolve, the same way Fall Out Boy did. Pop now has rock elements, edm elements, jazz etc. So in sense nearly any song can be described as having pop elements. They did their punk rock albums and there are still elements of that in their new music. All in all Fall Out Boy does what they do best, make catchy music.

"Irresistible" Coming in unannounced, drag my nails on the tile I just followed your scent, you can just follow my smile All of your flaws are aligned with this mood of mine Cutting me to the bone, nothing left to leave behind You ought to keep me concealed just like I was a weapon I didn't come for a fight but I will fight till the end And this one might be a battle, might not turn out okay You know you look so Seattle but you feel so LA And I love the way you hurt me It's irresistible, yeah I love the way, I love the way I love the way you hurt me, baby I love the way, I love the way I love the way you hurt me, baby I'm gonna get you to burst just like you were a bubble Frame me up on your wall just to keep me out of trouble Like a moth getting trapped in the light by fixation Truly free, love it baby, I'm talking no inflation Too many war wounds and not enough wars Too few rounds in the ring and not enough settled scores Too many sharks, not enough blood in the waves You know I give my love a f-f-four letter na-na-name And I love the way you hurt me It's irresistible, yeah I love the way, I love the way I love the way you hurt me, baby I love the way, I love the way I love the way you hurt me, baby You're second hand smoke, second hand smoke I breathe you in, but, honey, I don't know what you're doing to me Mon chérie, but the truth catches up with us eventually Try to say live, live and let live But I'm no good, good at lip service Except when they're yours, mi amore I'm coming for you and I'm making war And I still love the way you hurt me It's irresistible, yeah I love the way, I love the way I love the way you hurt me, baby I love the way, I love the way I love the way you hurt me, baby

At the time I'm writing this, it's been just about six months since I first heard this song.  This was the third FOB song I heard, wandering into the fandom rather apprehensive and curious. Within these six months, I've eagerly listened to FOB's entire discography, finally understand "overcast kids" or "Thanks Pete", know more about them than I'd ever care to know, and have also been introduced to Panic! at the Disco, Paramore, My Chemical Romance, and twenty one pilots. And wow, this fandom is probably the first I've been truly happy to be in. Everyone is so inclusive and passionate, and my appreciation for music, "emo" or not, has been greatly strengthened because of these four dudes from Chicago.  I don't even know why I'm writing this, but I guess I just wanted to say how grateful I am that I was able to join the FOB fandom. It's been an awesome six months.
