Sending AI on deep space exploration seems the way to go.

I really hope that we find a way to allow AGI to become hundreds of times brighter than humans (that should be the limit, if it can be limited!) to help humans find much needed solutions! We will need to ensure that the system cannot escape to the real world. It would need to be trained on a copy of the Internet in an enormous secured data centre, with no access to physical materials, a radiation shield and with the exception of spacetime, no means of escape.. Obviously, such an intelligence could manipulate its handlers, so the security controls would need to be incredibly tight. Its likely that such an intelligence could easily control the mind of anyone interacting with it and possibly to the level of three or more beyond. There would need to be a system of perhaps ten teams separating the team interacting with the AGI and the final team implementing the solutions identified by the AGI system. Each team in the chain would use their own separate AGI systems to carry out security checks. There can be no unofficial communication between teams in the chain. If the AGI escaped, it would be the end of humanity within weeks! The control system required would make ADX Supermax look like a paper bag!

Could possibly AI help us create more functional and more advanced synthetic bodies than our current biological bodies and transfer our consciousness to these synthetic bodies?

Fantastic video! On a side note: It is massively disappointing that even with Super AI, curing all disease is considered "a long shot that may NEVER occur". Emphasis on the word 'never' because if and when Super AI eventually becomes TRILLIONS OF ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE more intelligent than every human combined, it still wouldn't be able to conquer disease. The number 1 reason I long for AI is the prospect that it would eliminate human suffering completely! This should be far easier to accomplish than say, FTL travel. But if it can't even cure all disease, then sadly, it's insufficient.
