I purchased a 3DAM mounting adaptor to use with the ZUMO XT2 and the original BMW Navigator VI mounting bracket. This is a follow up to the previous video about replacing the BMW Navigator VI with the ZUMO XT2 using the standard mounting kit.

  • I greatly appreciate both videos in this series. I've probably watched them 20 times to make sure I got it right because it was not obvious. You should narrate books if you have not considered it. Your voice is calming. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and the great video.

Great video thanks. I've also had enough of the "ghost fingers" on my Navigator VI bought brand new in spring 2018... So Zumo XT2 it is then!... I'll probably wait for this Black Friday 2023... hopefully there will be good deals around...

Great choice for the xt2 Steve, got one and works perfectly on my gs1200. Made a custom bracket to mount on the cross bar above the TFT display. The closer to the line of vision to the road ahead is important to me.

Good day! I'm writing you from Anaheim, California. At age 6 my first dirt bike was a 1969 Honda 50cc "mini trail" (the 125cc Monkey is a larger retro copy) followed by a Yamaha YZ80, then a Honda XR75, a Suzuki RM125... So by the time I rode a 175cc it felt very fast & a 250cc was a beast! You can find old videos of Steve McQueen racing on a 1976 Honda Elsinore 250cc. In fact, I rode a hodaka 400 & the power almost killed me, I literally could not keep the front tire on the ground every time I shift it and release the clutch!! So here you are starting out with an 850cc for your first time in the dirt!?! Do you see the irony? Here's my observation, guys who start out riding street bikes, feel like they're downsizing to an 850, while guys who grew up riding dirt bikes think a Yamaha 450cc is a monster & the Tenerae 700cc would be ridiculous on trails, if you could even pick it up after you drop it. I thought this might be a good topic for a video. BTW, My current bike is a Yamaha WR250"F" based on the YZ, not based on the WR250R (the WR250R has a street bike engine, with off-road tires)

Hi, I'm planning to buy the Garmin XT2 for my future GS1300. Does this 3DAM adapter fit onto the GS1300 initial GPS mount of the BMW bike ? Thanks
  • @adysmith2760
Can you use the jog/wonder wheel to operate the XT2 as the BMW navigator does
  • @robb8773
Will the BMW wonder wheel control the Garmin like it does when using NaviV/VI?
  • @hokie822
Any idea what size driver that requires? It’s so small!!

Thank you, but if the lock mechanism is closed, do not push the navigation to the cradle, please.
