This is both sadder and funnier when you realize everything he's going through is arguably all Louie's fault

Loved the choice to give the "loan sharks" actual shark masks. It intimidating yet silly at the same time!

I always found it hilarious that Shacho is reduced to eating grass while Louie is feasting upon alien beasts
  • As a kid the President's story about living under a bridge on the run from the loan sharks was just the funniest thing ever. I would stall another day before recovering all the debt just to hear what would happen next. "They kicked me out from under the bridge as if I were trash." Good times.

Listen, I know we give Sacho a lot of shit, but we gotta give him credit: when Louie screwed the pooch (several times) he stepped up to bat and helped us out, and he was a HUGE help in Pikmin 2 as well! We couldn’t have done it without him. He might not be the best boss, but he’s THE boss, and he deserves a little respect
  • @SeanIncorporated
I love how you turned the president's silly emails into a cinematic experience! Well done!
  • @PF1MIL
my new headcanon is that louie's cooking show is what caused the second debt for olimar's comeback in pik3 deluxe, this video makes wooden turtle videos main series canon now
  • @PugPilotG
I love the idea of creating a full story of the events we didn't get to see in Pikmin 2 Beautiful animation!
  • I love how frugal the Loan Sharks are, they even used Comic Sans for their receipts!
  • @Vivi_Pook
poor shacho was really fighting for his life out there... all while olimar and louie dillydally on that treasure-filled planet! couldn't they have a little consideration for what they're putting their boss through?? he was nearly killed!!!
  • @Raggins
This makes me feel a completely different about Mr. President... Brilliant job telling such a heartfelt story with such little dialogue! And as usual, wonderful job with the animation. You truly are a talented creator.
  • @spacemushroom830
I adore the decision to have the president dream about drowning. Drowing is a dream that is often had when someone feels out of control and in serious danger.
  • @EpochFlame
thought about hocotate freight president’s bridge animal friends for two decades now
  • @librus8680
I really admire your details in trying to portray what Hocotate is like, since we really only get a few short glimpses during Pikmin 2. The ring system hanging in the sky, the cityscape in the distance, the hovering vehicles... it all really fits what little preestablished knowledge we have about Olimar's homeworld. (Plus, the "grunge" look to everything, which fits the usual Hocotatian style!) The addition of the space-dogs, too - despite their living in a futuristic space age of intelligent robots and interstellar flight, it really does feel like life on Hocotate and elsewhere is remarkably ordinary for these tiny folk, even with their usually silly attitudes and shenanigans. (... I mean, who even gets away with naming their enterprise "All Devouring Black Hole Loan Sharks"...?)
  • @I-mour
So this is how he got harden enough to go in an alien planet which also explains how he was able to canonically beat up monsters way bigger than him…
  • @Calcking126
I love how your animations are in the style of Pikmin 2’s clay-like promotional art style
  • @zeta5341
I love that a lot of your videos are connected through this one, the lore thickens
