It certainly has taken awhile for me to release this. This music documentary showcases the career of Niatia "Lil Mama" Kirkland. Lil Mama is a rapper actress, writer, dancer, and singer who achieved success in music under the age of 20. She is most known for her hit song "Lip Gloss". Lil Mama has endured quite a few ups and downs in her career. She had to deal with almost being blackballed from the industry, after going on stage during Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' VMAs performance. She also had to deal with being publicly shamed by Charlamagne tha God on the Breakfast Club. She faced periods where she was taunted on social media. She overcame her obstacles and defied all odds. She is now currently concentrating on her budding acting career.

They don’t even treat R Kelly like this. All this girl did was walk on to stage

She lost her mom and then the world turned on her. The saddest thing I’ve ever heard ❤️

I feel like Lil Mama is a prime example of accountability. She admits when she’s wrong, accepts the part she played, rectifies the issue and takes steps to move forward. Her bars are fire and she’s an authentic person. Imma go look for her new shit now.
  • I absolutely HATED the way Charlamagne treated her during that Breakfast Club interview.

To think she's only 32... she was so young when she received all the backlash... That was cruel

This girl is MULTITALENTED!!!! She can sing, rap act and DANCE and she’s gorgeous I’ll always be glad that she stuck to her guns 💪🏾 kept her clothes on and her head straight! This is a classic case of “They won’t love you until your gone!” Keep shining Babygirl 💙

She has never gotten the respect she deserves! We talk triple threat! She is truly that!
  • I love Lil Mama's perseverance. I like her sense of accountability and responsibility. She knows when she's wrong, admit to her wrongs, apologizes for it, and corrects her wrongs. You can tell her parents raised her right.

Shout out to Lil Mama. Nobody would’ve even remembered the performance without her. 🤷🏽‍♂️
