  • She is an exceptional young rider. The horse looks like is was having a lot of fun too. I love the Hunter Derby concept. I can't wait for one to be held here in Ontario. Thank you so much for posting this:)I have been reading about them for awhile now so it was great to finally see a trip!

zazou is such an incredible rider, she makes the horse look so free and still gets those perfect distances.. incredible

Beautiful horse, Beautiful quiet rider. Look how brave that horse is, and he is happy to do the job.
  • @Eventer13
I think its refreshing to see a horse having so much fun in a hunter class, and not looking like a lifeless automaton. I wouldnt mind riding him in the hunt field Zazou did a great job.
  • @bustergus
aww opie i love tihs horse he is soo cute!!
  • @bananabears
This horse is from Europe! Every horse in Europe does the jumpers. There is no hunters. So yes it is a jumper horse. That is why its amazing! :)
  • @dknowles24
its held all over, florida, arizona, new york ,etc
  • @meggwtw
Her hands and seat are too die for. It's not her fault that the horse was fresh at the beginning, I think he was just nervous or agitated when he got in the ring. She did a good job keeping him focused, not to mention staying composed, herself.
  • @apostlenkoda
that was beautiful i really feel like that horse gets stuck behind on his lead changes......
  • @iluvsimon8
AMEN! Zazou is in the Maclay, I think she knows how to ride. I think this horse should be a jumer or eq., not so much hunter
  • @Loganluva
I agree and also it just looks like the horse was not paying as much attention as if could have and it was fooling around
  • @dknowles24
thats how the fox hunters r, well some fox hunters r craazzyy
  • @theslyhorse
it says this is a handy hunter round meaning they were probably supposed to be hand galloping.....
  • He doesn't look that fresh to me. He was just trying to get his lead after the sunflower line. Sometimes horses buck or kick into their lead when they can't get it, but it's usually a greenie thing.
  • @Ca2roline
I disagree. The horse is just having fun, and thats the whole point of the derby classes- to bring life and exitment back into hunters again. Besides, the derby isn't supposed to be limited to just hunter horses. Read the Practical Horseman article on it.
  • @RaziemeIborra
umm...guys....she WON the maclay. i think she knows how to ride.
