Today I learned Joshua loves Raye and would die for her
  • @Otzkar
now that josh has given out the info on his locals someone is gonna rock up to the next tradiotional tournament with circular loci
  • @thanatosxmesiah
another advantage of accesscode is that you can banish gala/longirsu and then bring them back with world wand, rarely occurred but it's a nice recursion option if skeleton already used or get blocked. for pure otk borrelsword is still better tho since access+ding isn't game yet

Sometimes late at night, i get into my bathtub, cover myself in viscus dark liquids and think of raye.
  • @survivorfreaknr
i actually took this to locals yesterday, went undefeated and only dropped 1 game to illusion chimera. deck is unbelievably fun.
  • @jaymeister3659
Thanks! Been wanting to test it out at my locals too. Nice list which is easily adjustable.

I think this deck is pretty unexplored now, like it genuinely feels really good and better than rogue which is where it's at now For example here josh says he broke a board of a spell/trap negate, monster negate and a pop and barely won, and uses that as a negative, but is it really? How many decks in the current format can realistically break that without board breakers? Well, snake eye can't(ash eats a negate, oss eats a negate, and even if they open both diabellstar + ash, the pop still stops any link 2 plays) Tenpai can't, unless they open multiple field spells to bait out disruptions Voiceless can't (monster negate for saffira, pop for whatever lo activates and then there's the additional spell/trap negate left) Branded can't (spell negate for brafu, pop for quem if they access it to prevent plays on the opp turn, monster negate for cartesia) But that's kinda this deck's main strength, being all gas means it's extremely good at going 2nd and extremely consistent at going 1st, however it does have some major weaknesses Like droll, or the grind game not being as good as other orcust variants, since after turn 1 you're basically playing pure, barebones orcust This is somewhat different compared to more "pure" orcust builds from 2019, as in those bardiche + ding could easily clear 2 bodies during both players turns, so no walling up like what josh described here, and fog blade could reborn a monster from the gy for more material, while the dangers provided more gass for borrelsword otks, which were also stronger without walling up That's probably why josh remembers orcust as grindier and more explosive, it's not just vibes, the deck was both grinder and more explosive, and thanks to mermaid extremely consistent and more resilient to hand traps so opening dead cards like the pk monsters, wand or fog blades wasn't an issue

A deck that I tested recently and would be cool to see your take on is Melodious Lightsworn, the idea is just Melodious can acess a early Appo or do Minerva XYZ to start milling. Another thing is that since Refrain is a Light, you can use her with Revolution Syncron to make Miguel and go into Minerva Syncro

Runick Bystial Orcust is amazing. Highly recommend it for an upcoming locals
  • @gungnir382
Hey i won an OTS Championship also with Orcust but with no Horus :D
  • I've been liking a Bystial Package in Striker Orcust for a while. The new Striker cards will actually make that even EASIER to do stuff with that, and gives you more ways to set up targets for Crescendo since it can target Banishment, though you do have to watch out for the searches keeping you from summoning the thing.
  • I played a similar deck with Scraps before Harp came back at 3, maybe i will try it again now.
  • @skyslasher6267
I played this exact main deck except I had a gizmo instead of one of the chalices, it’s nice to put under zeroboros when u don’t have babel on field
  • @topotap
I really like this type of content. What do you think about the Orcust Horus variant? Do you think it is more or less effective than the one with SS?
  • @responseacc1
I personally been playing this the last two weeks and ik its not much of a statement but i have been mostly undefeated including most meta decks. I've only had 1 loss which was to voiceless voice. I played topologic bomber dragon, and an anima because of the girsu token and it comes up a good number. Also the bomber helps to facilitate control of the board which has consistently been winning me games because of what it does
  • This is a really good report and analysis even though it isnt for a big event. I am curious as to why you didnt play cards like Topologic Bomber Dragon or Trisbaena in the extra deck since they provide the board wipe options that Accesscode doesnt since it can only pop at best 2 cards
  • @fanix92
I hate that I laughed this much to "locked into dogs"
  • If you play pure Sky Striker or Sky Striker/Orcust, i recammand the spellcard "Blink Out" because this card opens so many play that Sky Striker could benefit from. THis quickplay spell has the effect to target and shuffle one of your link monsters back to the extra deck and special summons one of the monsters used as materials back to the field. It can be another link monster as long as you summoned it properly and used it as a link material. This allows to dodge certain negates or allows you to re-summon another link monster back that you can use right away. I love this card and think people who play link heavy decks should consider to play this card. For my pure Sky Striker deck i run EM:P Meowmine, Link into the Vrains and Blink Out and these 3 cards do so much for this deck and will be even better once the new support comes out, whenever we get it. They give extra bodies, recycle and dodge certain negates or other effects. Sky Striker has problems to keep the pressure up but with these cards i feel you end up with having more to use. So if you use the Striker engine or play the pure version, try these cards out, i personally have good experiences with it and think they are great.
