Thank you so much for doing this series. I just paid a ton of money for one of these and it wouldn't do more than 22mph. I was not happy. Now it will do 30mph without having touched the rpm regulator. I appreciate it. Waiting on the next video please.

My X1140, when warm, does 26 on flat pavement. It would do 25 when new and within a year I noticed it began to struggle to get 23. I adjusted the slack out of the throttle cable and it now hits 26. I was careful to not allow the adjustment to increase idle speed, just no slack in the cable. I look forward to what other things you adjusted to get maximum performance. Like you, I didn't buy the X1140 because it was fast. I do, however, sometimes run to the hardware store or to a friends house 3-4 miles away and having a little more speed would be nice. I have often thought if it would only do 30 I would be satisfied. Only 4 mph but it just feels better at that speed when traveling on road. BTW on road use is legal on county roads where I live.

How do I turn up the hydrostatic trans pressure on a RTV900?
  • @chrismay7165
Really appreciate the videos, currently got a 2010 Rtv500. Is there a way to get more power? Seen some people say adjust servo screw, where is it?

Just found this by accident. Need more speed and power . Mine is on tracks so can’t go by my mph . Follow all the forums and web pages not much you can do without out turning up the hydraulic pressure? Thinking of adding a turbo to help with the power. Wish I could bolt up a bigger motor to tve transmission.
  • I am at 31MPH with all four sides on jackstands. I am at 30 on blacktop. But I do most of my work at 5-10 MPH and mowing at 3mph.
  • @Mcgeheecattle
22 mph flat ground on a incline not a big one just little one just want climb in h have to stop and go to low at 4 mph to get up any incline any advice
  • @WyteOutAK
My 1100 did 20-25. After oil hydraulic oil change it had now power forward or reverse now?
  • Need help finding the video my x1140 when new did 24 am lucky if I can get 18 mph

The Kubota rtv is a good reliable workhorse but if you want speed buy a different make
  • I don’t care about more torque and speed I love to cruse inside the cab jamming carrying full loads in the back
  • @billmalec
Wouldn't it be better to drive it and see what it does? Spinning wheels on a lift doesn't mean much of anything. It has to move it's weight. It has to overcome rolling resistance and wind resistance and tire size and pressure and.... Just because you make it go faster on a stand doesn't mean it will do that in real life. HP and torque especially aren't spinning wheels on a lift.
  • @UnitedStates.
My speed is 11-13 downhill with a plow. Going uphill with the same plow it’s 4 mph. Lmao. Going reverse on the same hill it hits 6-7 mph. It’s a funny joke.
  • Wanted to go faster put a turbo on it and bigger tires quit crying about it.... spend that money.....
