I've been a 12.9" iPad Pro fan for years now, but I realized I was not taking my iPad places due to its size. I purchased an 11" iPad Pro and I may never go back. In this video, I discuss why I feel the 11" is more practical and do my best to look at the differences between the displays.

  • I bring my 2017 10.5" iPad to work with me every day. It is now falling apart, so I ordered a refurbished M1 11" iPad. Looking forward to it arriving.

I have the 11 inch as a student and I love it for doing quick things, or especially taking notes. However, I have a desktop that I use for longer sessions or bigger projects as I feel iPadOS and the screen size hinder that long form process. I’d say that if you want a companion for your main computer, then an 11 inch is perfect, but if you want it to be your main driver you might want the bigger option.
  • Awesome! I purchased Apple 2022 11-inch iPad Pro for the same reasons which you mentioned: portability without sacrificing quality.
  • @lesita69
I enjoy listening to music and watching series and the best audio experience on a tablet is that of the iPad Pro 12.9 " The best audio in a tablet ever.

Of all the damn 12.9 vs 11 videos I’ve seen, Jerad, yours makes the most sense - and so simply and practically. It just works. What are you; Steve Jobs?!?! Thank you, mate. 👍🙏
  • Great video, thank you for speaking at a normal speed as well, I have been going back and forth on which size to buy and your video helped me to decide... I'm going with the 11.
  • @Scepra
11" also has 1.5 hours more battery than the 12.9" in almost all tests.

From a professional photo editors perspective the 11 inch model serves the need and there is no such differences in viewing. Even the professional digital artists who draw a lot prefer using 11 inch, just to avoid the blooming screen while working on my-noot details. This is what I wanted, I actually want something which is actually useful to me. Instead of buying something which i actually don't need and not useful for everyday practical usage. Thanks for your unbiased review.
  • One of the best reviews which helped me to go for 11’’ as it is most suitable for my use.. thanks a lot
  • Great video! You have changed my mind and so I will be keeping my iPad Pro m1 11inch, I was close to getting the 12.9 but you made it so clear and easy why 11inch is better and more portable. You saved me over £250. I can put that extra money towards a MacBook Pro or air as my new laptop. Thanks for the comparison. Mini led I also don’t see much of a difference. If there was OLED, that would be better as mini led is capped only to HDR content. I love the 11inch screen too.

Big difference in the display specially watching videos/Movies 12.9 Retina display is crazy! And I don’t agree when they say it doesn’t matter!ppl uses iPad for multimedia too !
  • @Claudio7ITA
Excellent comparison, in all aspects, helped me decide. Thanks
  • @Grey-Rock
This was very helpful. Thank you sir 👍
  • @pballuk
Thank you so much. This video was just what I needed to support my decision.
  • I think you hit it perfect. I stopped bringing my iPad Pro 12.9 places just started feeling too cumbersome. I already have a big 18inch laptop so going to try the 11inch.
  • @Mark1Mach2
I am watching this on a M2 12.9 ipad and oh boy this thing is heavy, especially with a case and I don't even have the heavier magic keyboard on. I got this specifically to enjoy the screen and do write notes using my pencil....but oh it does seem so heavy and is beating the purpose. Writing notes on this thing is nice though. But for overall practicality I think I'm gonna return this and go for the 11inch ipad. I want to be able to take it around and throw it around and not have to baby it like the 12.9 asks for. Thanks for your review, its so helpful to see it coming from a professional who sees and edits pictures all day long.
  • @allanford7767
I have 11inch iPad Pro and I use it for college. I love it.
  • @Thekidisalright
People who don’t use the pencil should just get the 11”, but if you are an illustrator or someone who design or work with the pencil a lot, you will love the extra real estate on the 12.9” so you don’t have to keep swiping for empty space to draw, it makes a lot of difference between the two models.
