The comments on here are wildin’ “i punched my pregnant mother in the stomach and my hand noclipped through her and then my unborn baby brother grabbed me and pulled me into the backrooms”

Theory - the “hounds” are the people that got lost in there and couldn’t get out and all they want is human interaction but they’ve forgotten how to speak and socialise.

As a former security guard, my tours included empty office spaces, mechanical rooms, boiler rooms in the underground etc. It seems that, if you take my years as a security guard and crop just the tour parts, you would have something similar to the "backrooms experience." You get a jump scare once in a while, too. Someone that isn't supposed to be there, or a cleaning crew member etc.
  • The reason that the back rooms look so familiar is because they are made up of mundane and common things we see in every day life. Bland wallpaper, patterned carpet, and of course, boxed flouescent lights. Everyone recognizes these things, and it sparks a sense of familiarity.

“bathroom is down in the hall on the left” the hall on the left:
  • so somebody clipped into the backrooms, and the first thing they thought was “here, lemme take a pic and post it on 4chan”
  • This is the backrooms I miss. All the new fandom/ lore has ruined the mystery. It’s like we handed the script to a child and had them edit as they see fit.

this is a fucking masterpiece of editing it's not flashy or have any really crazy effects but just the way that you can easily set an unsettling/scary tone immediately is truly terrific
  • “You May find yourself in a place no man should go.” The girls bathroom

This is the "Beyond" section in Bed, Bath and Beyond

The scary part of the backrooms is that the places you see there look somewhat familiar and nostalgic. The fact that you’re stuck in a incredibly large space area and that it looks so empty is just so unnerving. Especially knowing that there is another creature roaming around and that you don’t know how far it is.
  • Can we all appreciate that nick is actually a great person who tells us this and warns us about predators, its very tragic how people die every year. I appreciate you telling us about this
  • @circle2867
sounds like something you'd see on reddit no sleep lol

This is what the backrooms is supposed to be. A simple yet endless maze. The backrooms has been oversaturated by many creators. This is still my favorite take on it. Thank you for making this classic video ❤

Picture: just an empty building Internet: demons, 100%

Ok, but what if the human-like creatures are the people that never escaped?
  • I remember so vividly meeting with my dad in the backrooms in my dreams a month after he died. It was weird because i had never ever heard or seen anything about backrooms at the time
