You're welcome. The rolly wheel is the power level adjustment to the trailer brakes. Pushing in the manual lever all the way lets you see how much juice you are providing them. The manual says to start out at 6.0 and do some test stops with full manual lever at 25 mph and raise the level until wheel lock up then back it off. Then you tweak it with the regular brake pedal unit you get the best braking power with no lock ups. My sweet spot seems around 9 or so.

More informative than the sales lot. Thanks! What does the rolly wheel change if you don't have the manual lever pressed?

My dealer recommended this unit and I had him install it replacing an older Tekonsha Voyager unit I had with the level and gain adjustment...pain in the ass. Loving the simplicity of the Primus IQ.
-
I'm assuming in the last 20 or so seconds you were using the blue wheel adjuster as well as the slider?
-
Which Boost setting works the bast for your Cougar?
-
Hi, Newbie here.. Does the PrimusIQ adujst your brake usage automatically? Im not sure what adjustments I need to make when I'm towing the 30 foot trailer of mine.

No running lights now on my 2017 Coleman Light 2915rk

Newbie here, I just got a travel trailer. The dealer installed the Primus IQ Brake Controller. Besides downshifting, what is the best way to maximize trailer braking when driving down a grade. Primus states to use the boost in order to apply more braking when towing heavier but I don't see anything about driving down hill. Thank you.

Your welcome!

A high setting of "9" should be producing some fine smoke and squeal by then on my trailer. lol. Apply and hold your foot brake pedal and then adjust the wheel to a smooth grab while rolling. You don't brake your trailer primarily by the hand slider. I'd start at 3 and increase according to weight and feel without skidding.

Thanks. That answered a question for me. I appreciate you taking the time to make it.

I wish you were down here in Texas, my Primus IQ brake controller I had installed in my Subaru was working fine, but then I had a new battery installed and now it’s not working. Multiple people have checked all the grounding wires and everything and nobody can figure out why it’s not working. I bet you could!🎉

Good video

I know I'm going to sound foolish for asking but, how do you turn the unit completely off if it can be turned completely off??
-
When you set your controller, did you get your trailer wheels to lockup?
-
My letter C is no longer showing. What does this mean? It worked before but now it’s not.

9??? Geez man, it might be time to replace the brakes on your trailer....im just sayin
