This was the church of Emily, Charlotte, Maria and Elizabeth Brontë when they were attending Cowan Bridge School. These were sad times for the Brontë sisters. Maria and Elizabeth passed away at that school.
St John the Baptist Church is located to the northeast of the village of Tunstall, Lancashire England.
This is the view from the Garden of the vicarage next door just before the first days of spring (glitter added).
The entire place is so alive at night, with owls and bats and nightingales. It’s truly dreamlike.
