If a zombie picks up a totem of undying, there’s actually a way to get it back! Just give it a sword of any type, and it’ll prefer the sword over the totem
  • @OmegaTaishu
One detail about the sun protection part (11:13), their helmets will constantly take damage and eventually break if the sun is up.

Fun fact: if your home base has enough villagers to consider it a “village”, zombie raids can happen too! I had 20 zombies show up at my house…
  • @demi_goddex
bonus fact: the original zombie drop was a feather, before chickens were added
  • @SecretSwifty
Ive always interpreted zombies having crops, iron ingots and tools as that they were just normal people/villagers and those were things they just had on them at the time of "turning"
  • @Golem2OO8
Fun fact: The Zombie is actually the oldest mob currently in the game since the human mob gets removed
  • @MayfeatherWC
I always assumed the potatoes and carrots dropped by zombies were supposed to be an undigested last meal of the living person before they got turned into zombies.

I wish there's a zombie horseman wearing a pumpkin and wielding its shovel, just like how the skeletons can ride their own horses
  • @gbrysvg
I also noticed that normal zombies have the same tendency to group up and chase the player as zombie piglins do. This occurs when they don't see you though. If you hit a zombie while it doesn't see you (like in a zombie spawner and you covered the entrance a bit), all the nearby zombie will come closer to the hurt one.

The traders threatened by zombies are actually good source for invisibility potion, although they will run and drink potion quickly, making killing them pretty difficult
  • Obviously, the ingot drop is rare because it takes a LOT of zombies to kill a golem that zombie who drops those happens to last hit and survive
  • @TrialBySquire
I'm guessing the iron drop lore is the lucky zombie that finished off an iron golem.
  • @hammygames077
5:20 small mistake, that feature got removed from bedrock a few years ago. While the drowned may still be converted with a trident, it will not drop when killed
  • @truesnakegod
Another fact: On Bedrock, when a zombie turns into a drowned, they drop all their armor and held items. These items are also at full health so long as you didn't hit the zombie. Lastly, there is a bug with this that has been around ever since zombies could turn into drowned. That bug is that on rare occasions, zombies that turn into drowned won't drop their helmet. This causes a slight visual bug because drowned have a larger head, so the helmet will be inside their head and will show through at some small spots on their head.

More facts! - Through drowned conversion, Zombies also become a source of copper. - Aside from the Giant, there is also the unused Zombie Horse, which is functionally pretty identical to the Skeleton Horse. As with Skeleton Horses, the most unique property is that these mobs don't drown or float, and can be used to ride along the ocean floor, provided the player has some form of water breathing. - Zombies are one of two mobs that are playable in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, the other one being Endermen, although between the two, Zombies are much more true to the source material. - Putting a hat on a zombie will not protect it from daylight entirely, as the head armor actually absorbs the damage from the sun and will, after a few day cycles, break from the damage. I can't find any test proof of this, but I think zombies wearing carved pumpkin will be safe indefinitely because carved pumpkins do not have a durability stat.

What is not mentioned is that in 1.20 it is much more likely to meet a zombie holding an iron shovel than any other type of instrument
  • @liamhorgan7366
I know it’s never been explained but I always assumed that zombies were supposed to of picked up the carrots or potatoes as they clawed themselves from the ground!

Ive been building a farm recently focusing on the zombie reinforcement mechanic and thought I would share a couple of extra facts. 1. Leader zombies base health is set to 20 but there max health can go much higher (90+) if harming potion is used to heal them 2. chicken jockeys and other jockey variants will not be moved by any entity interaction and will not be teleported if the riding zombie is targeted in a command 3. Reinforcements can spawn from any source of damage as long as they have any target (e.g. in my farm im designing I use magma blocks and villagers as targets) 4. reinforcements can track their targets through solid blocks and will not retarget another target unless out of range, moved to another dimension or their original target dies

I remember being in cave in bedrock edition and seeing a zombie that had a baby riding its back, once i killed the zombie the baby ran to a spider and just hopped on and i had no idea that they could do that and even thought it was bug lol
