jackson lloyd—the sage, the storyteller, the catalyst of change—has returned! 🙌🎉 Picture this: The sun rises, casting a golden hue upon the play button. The screen flickers to life, and there, bathed in the soft glow of pixels, stands our hero. 🌅 The chat section buzzes with anticipation. “Where have you been?” they ask. “Why did you leave?” But jackson lloyd merely smiles—a Mona Lisa grin that holds secrets and promises. 🤫 And then, with a flourish, the video begins. The intro music swells—a symphony of hope, resilience, and pixelated dreams. 🎶✨

My mother got me GTA Vice City, and Im pretty sure it was a last ditch effort to make me heterosexual. Didnt work. Now Im fruit flavored and violent.

Damn its not everyday you see a channel grow. I always was partial to the 2000s, the energy gaming had is unmatch and truely unique.
  • What a phenomal style bro, you're sitting on a rocket, just keep fueling it!
  • Not even a minute in, and I already had to subscribe. Your editing and stylistic choices are top-notch

Never played many games growing up, but having the DS as a kid was a really strong tool that defined my life as a whole

this is an amazing video! the quality is up there with the likes of nakey jakey and Scott the woz. Whole video was fun to watch and made me feel happy that other people have had the same experience with video games as I did.

Sega even today has the coolest console names. The genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast all sound sick

i miss the early 2000s era of gaming, the devs actually have passion on their project. Your video is very fantastic at describing them
  • @larvaebox
great vid, keep it up bro this is underrated for sure
  • I really appreciate your mention of Disney extreme skate adventure. Severely underrated
  • 6th Generation was the best era, a lot of good games, and very interesting stuff with the big 4
  • @Vulpas
4th-6th gen was objectively the golden era, '89-'04. There was good stuff before and after but that period is unmatched.

Think about how lucky we are to be kids and gamers at one certain point in history that we were. 90s and early 2000s will forever be in my heart

  • @heavydutycows

Great video and coverage of video game history! I was very lucky to grow up when I did having great memories with the consoles and games I had access to. The late 90s and the 2000s were my era and I'm truly blessed.

Worth every minute it took to make this Video. Absolute banger going through all these different console generations and staying relatively objective while recounting your own stories. I've watched some videos where they try to focus on the documentary style but their own opinions still slide through and here we have someone giving his own opinions while still highlighting other great consoles! The Dreamcast has always felt like the greatest console I've never had. All these amazing games that I later ended up playing on other platforms. So I'm very happy to see it get a little highlight inbetween.

This was a great retrospective on the console gaming eras, first vid from you I’ve ever watched and your humor, editing and amusing summaries especially of the gaming eras you didn’t exist through earned yourself an automatic subscribe 😃 I’m both proud and creaky to say I’ve lived through all generations of video game existence except the first one, being born in 1977 meant my earliest years of gaming were full of Atari games and their hypnotic strobe and color effects, along with a million other strange and marvelous consoles at the time, as well as tons of PC games and arcade games which were left out of the eras in this video. I’d have to say the original 8bit NES and SNES/Genesis were my favorite eras of gaming, although N64 is up there as well for the giant 3D leap forward it provided from the previous generation… I’ll never forget the feeling of Mario 64 and gleefully running around discovering every move you can do with Mario for an hour before even thinking of heading into the castle to begin the game because the 3D movement was so radically different and done to perfection. The console wars between sega and genesis was something to live through, you HAD to pick a side and passionately argue about your console’s superiority at the back of English class with this one kid for an entire year… hypothetically of course! Looking back, I’m ashamed how susceptible we all were to the (admittedly awesome) advertising of the age, but mortal kombat II on SNES was the first console game that was truly as powerful as the arcade game- even if later on I found out it really wasn’t but it sure FELT like that at the time. Im a switch dude nowadays, play a ton of Zelda and Mario kart with my son and wife, but I don’t think games can ever impact me quite as much as the ones I played 85-95 again. I mean when super Mario bros, Castlevania and mike Tyron’s punch out were released I could literally think about nothing else all day at school than being able to run to my neighbor’s house to get lost in these worlds over and over. Really looking forward to more from you dude 🤘
