MidiQuest 10 - Editing Tutorial 2 (Part 1 of 2) - Understanding Binary and Control Parameters

Published 2010-03-30
Learn about how to customize controls such as knobs and number sliders to control your device. Find out how bits, bites, bitmasks, and your device user manual are used together to accomplish this. Note that you should start by unlocking the template for your device, and making a duplicate of the original template file (see my first MQ video to find out how to unlock stock templates.)

1:50 one bit, which is 8 bytes, is also called an "Octet" using proper binary computerese. :)
  • @Overdr1vePsy I'm not quite sure what you're trying to do. MidiQuest comes with a template for the Virus C which lets you modify every parameter from the interface. It probably already does what you're trying to accomplish. Comment if you have any more info.
