💯Fantastic episode! Another useful tip for managing food-thieving dogs is to teach them the "place" command. This involves training your dog to go to a designated spot, such as a mat or bed, and stay there until released. This can be particularly helpful during mealtimes or when you're preparing food.

I wonder how long the good behavior lasts after this show. My dog might do the right thing for a short time, but she will eventually go back to her bad habits.

What do you recommend for a “nose leash” thing on a Frenchie w no nose?
  • I just hit a tip from my dog trainer that has really helped me. I know Cesar has said the it’s ok to use a slip leash on small dogs but after I lost my Pomeranian to a colander trachea I can’t out anything around my new small dogs neck. My trainer showed me you can use a slip leash but out the head through them one paw through the slip leash too. You have the same control as a slip leash but protect thdt travhea. I know the slip leash if used correctly shouldn’t hit the trachea and my dog didn’t die from a slip leash she died from a collapsed train h. Thst Pons are prone to. I can’t help fearing the slip leash after the death of my dog and the slip leash with the leg also in thdt loop works. You don’t pull a slip leash you use it to give a little tug to communicate never drag your dog. I do t know if my suggestion will help others I just know I feel more comfortable with using the slip leash this way. I can Nia communicate with my dog’s training and not fear the slip leash.
