From what you’re saying I think the way you’re judging it is flawed , i thought we were listening for hip hop literacy linguistics metaphors and creative writing , but if you were listening just for songs with the best beat I understand how you came to that conclusion. Drake had no chance to win this beef and it has nothing to do with Kendrick's skill. I don't think anyone would argue that Drake is a better rapper than Kendrick, but it's like Drake said: Kendrick opened his mouth, someone better go hand him a Grammy. Kendrick is in this weird zone where he's widely considered the best modern rapper, but doesn't get the amount of hate that generally comes with being the best at something.

they aint ready for this debate. This is a simple culture, kendrick got everyone thinking if you prefer drake you aint black+you aint for the hip hop culture. It is truly a sweefti movement but for kendrick. It's sad to see. Doesn't matter what you show to them - they will ignore everything, because it's better to be backed by culture rather then person who moves away from it.
