This video is intended to leave you with a clear chronological understanding of the major milestones achieved by mankind during the first 30 years of space exploration.

This video is a combination of over a years worth of research, creation and documentation. You should take everything you see in this video with a pinch of salt but also be left with a new clarity of perspective when it comes to understanding the Space Race and how it progressed.

Originally Space Race KSP the Movie was going to be a very simple series recap montage and I've tried to keep it that way but I have taken the liberty of making sure to share some deleted scenes, remaster some craft and I've even added a few extra must see craft just for this video.

With all of this in mind I hope this video will be enjoyed by random viewers and seasoned subscribers alike :)

  • This video embodies most of what I have been up to over the past year, I ended up with over 2TB of none deleted footage so I could compile this video for YouTube. This probably is my biggest video and certainly largest project to date so please do make sure you remember to share this video so others may find it :)

2 things: 1. Absolutely beautiful Korolev Crosses. 2. You didn't mention that the crew of Soyuz-11 were also the first and only three people to die in space.

Fruit flies get into space on V2 Aliens: welcome fruit flies to the galactic community, they have advanced enough to leave their world.

I love the "Have we figured out how to land while keeping the spacecraft oriented in the right direction? No? Hmm..Then just put heatshields all around it and hope for the best I guess..." technique

Soyuz 11 also had the sad distinction of being the first deaths in space as well.
  • Awesome as always.. really can’t wait to see the rest from 1975 - now and see the station built

Aw bloody hell. I was certain that 2001 was set as my favorite space film... Then this brilliant little gamechanger burst in demanding the top spot.
  • Love the effort put into this! It’s been so long and finally came to this

LOVED that Saturn IB model, never seen one of those made in KSP before. Always overshadowed by its big brother

It's incredible how close to the real things you're building those spacecrafts. Awesome video!
