    Forgot malenkov. He wasn't leader for very long but technically still was.

    Khrushchev is the only Soviet leader since Lenin I could imagine being a great politician in the populist mode, the only one who wasn't a stiff thug in a suit. His very flamboyance and rude manners sets him apart from his successors and, much like Yeltsin and Putin, would ingratiate him with the average citizen.

    You didn't mention Georgy Malenkov the 3rd leader of the union who was then replaced by Kruschev like after a month.
