Wrong combination of job and equipment - A lot of time used (and thereby also a lot of money wasted).....

IT TOOK A LONG TIME TO FREE UP JUST A QUARTER OF THE HOLE...IT'S INCREDIBLE HOW SUCH A BIG COMPANY DOESN'T HAVE A FLAT AND WIDE AND MUCH LONGER TIP MADE BY HITACHI THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO DO SO MUCH WORK IN HALF THE TIME THAT WASTE OF RESOURCES

Its really painful watching the wrong people using the wrong equipment in the wrong way.

Чем больше я смотрю тем больше мне хочется сказать что эти работники сознательно и всячески затягивают процесс , специально посмотрел ещё несколько роликов и в этом убедился , вот что проще начать снизу и освободив участок помочь массе самой под собственным весом свалиться вниз но нет он упорно делает сверху вниз , я не знаю это просто нереальная тупизна либо способ показать кому-то свою значимость

Longer arm with scrapper no teeth

THAT is the shortest 'Long Reach' arm I have ever seen, also a bucket would have been a lot quicker.

I’m surprised you don’t have a long reach excavator with a root rake attachment, could have cleaned that pit out in about 5 minutes compared to this disaster of a performance shown here

How a company like this can still make money is totally beyond my comprehension! Tip 1: put a grapple on the crane that removes boulders from the crusher mouth, this will save at least 2-3 hours of crusher downtime on a 8 hour shift with many boulders! Tip 2: next time using the Hitachi digger to clear dirt as shown; ditch the hammer and put on a toothless 5 or 6 foot wide sandbucket, it will get the job done in 20% of the time showef in this clip! It looks like wasting time and money is the major goal for this company: terrible!

Surely if there is that much built up on hopper walls requiring that amount of time to clean a small portion of it then surely the hopper is the wrong shape to be fit for purpose

Must have been paid by the hour. The material was soft enough to use a 2' smooth bucket.

If the operator positioned the tracks sideways he'd have a better view of what he was doing. Also needed a spoon about a foot wide. Definitely start at the bottom so the material can fall away.

That's not so amazing.

How about investing in some pneumatic or hydraulic hopper vibrators? Then you wouldn't be dealing with all this buildup. In the meantime, tell your excavator operator to start and the bottom and then work up...

A foot or so increasing the angle of the infeed angle would sure help stop this buildup. A poor infeed could be solved when it was installed. The opperator can use a lot of lessons on how to clear the buildup bt sweeping from Left to Right starting at the bottom.
