First Rolls through the Fuji GA645

Published 2020-11-14
With the Mamiya 7 gone, I looked towards a new replacement. I'm not sure why I ultimately settled on the Fuji GA645, but from a purely economical standpoint, I was thrilled to be able to get 15 shots per roll as opposed to 10. Also, completely turning off my brain and being able to shoot fully automatic was a nice change!

With a new camera also came a new film stock. I ended up shooting 2 rolls of Portra 800, exposing each at 400. Why I decided to overexpose high ISO film in broad daylight is a question I don't have an answer for, but I did end up liking most of the results. I found Portra 800 quite a bit different from my usual Portra 400, and will look to shoot it in a few more different scenarios before I come to any sort of conclusion.
