I'm baffled by how good manly is at spotting larry almost instantly.
  • @nitsuix
Manly the entire game: Sorry Larry, it's just business. Manly when he turns mortal: Ok Larry, let's talk this out.

I love the detail that in a lot of shots, everyone pulsates except Larry. The only exception seems to be when he's in relatively normal spots where he's confident he can't be seen. Like he's constantly holding his breath waiting for something to happen.

I feel like the ending of the game should have been a final standoff between Larry and the player. One bullet, a single chance to win. I don't dislike the way things turned out to be, but I feel the scripted nature of the last part lessens the tension.

Everyone asks "WHERE's Waldo?" No one thinks to ask "WHO is looking for Waldo?" or "WHY are they trying to find Waldo?", or "WHAT will they do WHEN they find Waldo?"
  • That transition from the mystery glass to searching for Larry with a sniper rifle is so clever

Her is a funfact: In the very first level you find the killer just after he had killed Larry and hid his body. So he was trying to get away from the crime scene when Larry's friend just so happened to find him. And he realized something was off when Larry didn't recognize him. Larry acted like he was a stranger and just kept ignoring him. Which is why the character continued to follow him.

I’m pretty sure it’s intentional but I like how “You found Larry” is said with the same tone as “You got mail!”
  • @voidpunk2713
love how they found the player's dismembered buried body but not the dozens of government agents that were brutally murdered in an open field
  • @extraram896
With that twist at the end, Larry hiding in a Halloween Store with a bunch of masks in the window is a cute bit of foreshadowing
  • @streled5361
Even if you remove the big twist, it's still a very cool concept idea to have the Waldo expy progressively becoming more and more paranoiac after being found so many times
  • @ryanrouse5590
It's amazing that Manly did all of this while he's in his marketable plushy form.
  • “Oh god! I’m a mortal!” Made me laugh more than it should have

i love it when horror games switch perspectives like what happened at 24:32, its so effective at making you feel powerless I'm pretty sure this also happened with that llama game
  • @marte010exe
At a certain point it became more of a "reverse" horror game when Larry started to freak out by the fact that the player is finding him constantly, imagine if an otherworldly extraterrestrial entity followed you around :v
  • @w5ildhero
Accurate representation of how it feels being recognized in public by people you THINK you know from somewhere, but don't remember exactly where and you have to awkwardly talk with them while trying to jog your memory. Especially the later half, very relatable.
  • @snowriff4464
love how the game tries to make you feel bad for chasing this man down but manly just goes full supervillain mode as soon as he's given the opportunity
