  • If it were me..I would not waste good content time justifying to haters what my channel is all about. Those of us, which obviously massively outnumbers the detractors, are loving what your channel brings to the table.👍

Hey Chris just wanted to say thank you for the great videos. I am 17yr. You inspired me to start my own project. I bought a 1996 Ford Ranger for 300$, replaced all the brake lines, new tires replaced the clutch and pressure plate. I should be able to sell it for 2,500$ would not of done this project without your videos! Keep it up!
  • A 1955 Oldsmobile saved my Mother's life, and mine as a baby when she rolled it on black ice and slid upside down into a frozen field. My Father said that if it wern't for that "wrap-around" windshield we would not have made it. And my favorite car of all time is the 70's Olds 455 Rocket that I learned to drive on, love seeing this old 1959!
  • Oldsmobile had some of the classiest looking cars. The factory horn was awesome, perfect tone.

The point is, how much I enjoy watching you methodically go through all the steps to get these running. Very enjoyable.

Yeah don't listen to the people criticizing these types of videos. You are hands down my favorite "Will it run" YouTuber and these videos are so therapeutic for me 😂 Love seeing people keeping old things working. It's a dying trade!
  • I was just sitting here after work saying to myself I haven’t seen a nnkh video in a bit. I’m sure it’s great. Your awesome man!! Keep up the fun projects!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
  • I sold Atlas Cushionaire tires back in the early 1970's when I worked at my local Enco station in my home town as a teenager.
  • I have my parents 58 cadillac they bought in 1960 . I was only 1 year old. I remember driving in it to family reunions from palm springs California to Missouri in 1964, 65, and 66. It has the rare factory AC which certainly made the trips comfortable as they were always held in July. And the optional power windows. Mom finally gave it to me in 1982, she was well aware I wanted it! Lifelong Southern California car. In good shape, and still going down the road. I'm 64 now and the car is 65. We're growing old together! 😊. Enjoying your videos and good work!!

I love that Gus is in on all of the adventures. He looks pretty happy to be included as well. Just a happy little Gus. Doing happy little Gus things. 🙂
  • Great episode. I can't get enough of Gus, He looks and acts just like my Dachshund Marvin who we rescued from the side of the road in 1998 he lived with us until 2013. I don't remember Marvin running that fast. Gus is like a Rocket 88 himself.

In the early 90's (in New Zealand)a friend took one of these ( actually it was a ninety eight with a 394 )for a test drive and I went with him ' my friend likes to see how they go with a sharp stab of the accelerator ' I remember the back end sinking down and the skinny tires squealing and the feeling of an enormous amount of torque ' it was a lesson on how strong American cars of that era run .
  • Chris, mate do what you do !! Let the armchair mechanics have their say from their cellars or garages mate, enjoy watching everything you do, learning a whole lot which helps me on my 98, 4 runner with 250,000 and runs like a champ. Keep trucking my friend
  • I gotta a 59 2 door Biscayne and a 59 4 door Belair. They on the project list. Just gotta get a few in front of them finished. Looks like you guys had fun. Especially Gus.

Since the 59 Buick and the 59 Chevrolet in I'm using these two as an example have the same kind of roller bearing setup, I just took front hubs off a 1966 Impala and used the tapered bearing setup along with the brake drum and it fit just perfect

Nice old car! Of course the four barrel option was cool, but this one is great too.

I lived in Hawaii 73' to 75' My VW was in the shop for a few days. Mean while I bought the rustiest car in the world for $50 a 59 Olds to drive while the VW was being fixed. On my way to get the VW in Hilo I picked up a Hippy hitch hiking. Seemed like a pretty nice dude, so I pulled out the title when we got there, and signed the Olds over to him. As he pulled away he gave me the peace sign with a great big grin on his face, and the fenders flapping in the wind.
