Hair Grease For Low Porosity Type 4 Hair - IT REALLY WORKS!

Published 2020-01-13
Want to try hair grease for low porosity type 4 hair to see if it really works? Well, I'm going to show you the products I use to moisturize my natural hair for growth. It's important to have a regimen for your low porosity hair, and hair grease is a perfect way to retain moisture, as type 4 hair tends to lose moisture fast. Curly hair struggles to maintain moisture, because it's hard for the natural oils in our hair to travel down the curly strands, but hair grease eliminates this problem.

The amount of money companies made from black hair is ridiculous. Hair grease is all we need!

2020 everybody going back to hair grease! 🙋🏽‍♀️

I am SO tired of everybody making videos with like 20 products that they say work...like how can you even tell if something is working with that many things. I say keep it simple like this and you’ll more than fine.
  • Yes! My mom had that Dax, a cup of water and a brush. She’d oil my hair and scalp, dip that brush in the water and have my hair tamed.
  • I remember when I was a child my mother also greased my hair and scalp with either Blue Magic or Royal Crown. I also had very thick and long hair as a child because my mother never put heat in my hair.

The issue people were having with hair grease is the fact that you have to use a sulfate shampoo to wash it out. So you know at the early start of natural hair youtube, they were promoting the curly girl method and using non sulfate based shampoo. Hence grease became public enemy #1.

Dax has been the ONLY thing I've put in my hair since I was little. All growth and no damage. I'll never stop using it!

Isn't it amazing how this how "natural" hair journey has come full circle? I never went natural, been that all my life so I never had any tips for anyone and was left out of that "movement". But with the boom and explosion that happened with going natural and the natural hair revolution, it all came right back to our grandmother's grease and water lol. My west indian grandmother had fine naturally curly hair and no greys! She used water and blue magic until she passed in 2012 and her hair was always very well kept, beautiful and healthy. God bless her and all of the beautiful women out here in the world showing off their natural crowns :)
  • Yesss!!!! Give it up for the hair grease!!! My hair loves it and my wallet does too!!! Our mama's knew what they were doing

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who isn't having the best experience with natural hair products. What a waste of money! I've gone back to using grease too.

I too am so done with natural hair products wasted 10 years for nothing it was always dry. I had to straighten it cause my curls were so dry lol. My mom used to put amla which countains petroleum daily on my hair with a bit of water as a child and my hair was to my butt so healthy and moisturized. Im doing this again and my hair is sooo happy. No more dry hair no more dry damaged ends. No more cutting it and I know for sure now its going to be to my bottom again. God willing. So happy finally.

Hair grease is the only thing that keeps my hair moisturized longer than 4 days
  • @dwoollery
I just went back to greasing my scalp too with good ol' Blue Magic. My hair has never felt better. This is what our parents used when we were little girls and we got sick of it and wanted to try new things. I've been trying new things for 20 yrs now and I'm ultra tide. I'm back to greasing my scalp.

I’ve recently started using grease and Girll! I use it as a sealant and it keeps my hair soo moisturised. Love a UK natural youtuber, there isn’t many of us😭❤️
  • @SnapszDuhh
I have also switched back to Blue Magic and Dax and my hair has been THRIVING. I have no idea why we all strayed away from what worked. Smh.
