Former Funeral Director here. Just wanna explain why she left him $1 in her will. If her husband was left out of the will, he would have had the rights to contest the will by claiming "she just forgot''. Since she left him only $1, she can prove she did not forget about him, and that he really does get nothing.

Update on the "Lady of the Dunes": In late 2022 she was identified as Ruth Marie Terry, age 37 at her death. I believe her killer has also been found.
  • We've really come full circle, I'm back watching Unsolved like it's 2016. RIP Watcher, it's been fun.

My father was an extra on jaws. The reason there are no records is because they just found people on the beach and gave them $50 bucks and a case of beer to be extras. They didn’t even have to sign anything. So there were no records taken from any of the beach extras

Poe's Godfather: Can't be bothered to pay full tuition and fees. Also Poe's Godfather: Has the money to get Poe out of the military.

i love that so many of us fall asleep to this, it’s like we have our own ghoul boys in our homes. it’s like a podcast - i hope shane and ryan know how much they mean to us 😂

my favourite fact about edgar allen poe: he wrote his poems with his cat either nearby or on his shoulder. her name was catterina, and some sources say she was a tortoiseshell, while others say she was a black cat and the inspiration for his story "the black cat." personally, i think the tortoiseshell has more evidence, but both are super cute. ANYWAY. while writing, he looked to catterina for approval. if she was purring, he kept what he had written. if not, he would retry.

Ryan: "I'm gonna rip that mustache off your face." Shane: "I'd love to see you try" The most wholesome bickering ever.

About the "Ryan, a loving wife" - on my father's grave is written "she lived 52 years" and we refused to change that because we all think, me, his friend, that he would laugh with us.
  • I’m a coroner. It’s common for hair to be left on the skull after decomposition. Hair follicle are in the subcutaneous tissues and when those tissue decompose, it acts like glue which in turns sticks the hair to the skull. (Hair does not decompose)

Ryan and Shane are the only 2 people that can make a crime video but make jokes in the video but also make the video creepy
  • For those who dont know poe married virgina to save her from child marriage and was a dear friend to her and never did anything to her that is even remotely innapropriate
  • @BonseyJonsey
Something interesting about Poe and his wife is, they were never intimate and actually had a more platonic and sibling like relationship. It's odd, but it also makes me not view Poe as this creep targeting a child. The fact that they married is weird, but their relationship was never romantic.
  • Who is here to reminisce about the good old days before Watcher TV subscriptions?
  • @milk4984
ryan: I'd look into your disappearance. Shane: huge waste of time. shane thinking abt when he finally returns to the underworld not leaving a trace behind
  • @mta4562
we got a dude who leaves a bottle of henessy on his wife's grave once a month. as soon as he leaves, every high schooler in town suddenly goes to see dear departed grandpa. i've often wondered if he knows that helen is partying with the kids as soon as he leaves. or if he does it for the kids.
  • just leaving this iconic hilarious nugget here Ryan: "who describes themselves as 'an agent with underworld connections'?" Shane: "I do, generally" demon identity confirmed.
