Used a drill powered eraser tool to remove a 3 year old sun-baked decal from my jeep jku hood.

I'm trying to get 20+ yr old pen stripes off my '98 F-150. Absolute pain to deal with. I'm using tye Whizzy Wheel, which is similar to your eraser wheel. Even GooGone can't loosen the stripes.

I cant believe this guy doesn't have any thumbs down, he spent a lot of footage removing bolts.... anyway the video is excellent quality, and Boy!! that's a nice Jeep!!

It's been a year. I need to make a follow up video. My hood stayed clear from my old sticker for about 8 months. Recently i can see the glue residue showing up again where the old vinyl used to be! Apparently i didn't buff out enough clear coat. So weird that it was clear for more than 6 months then started to show again!
  • We just got a used (2015) renegade that has an ugly hood decal. I want to remove it, should i worry about it not coming off with a heat gun? I dont want to ruin the hood and have to repaint it.. dunno how long its been on there but good lord, its god awful lol. A big black area with bike tire tread thru it.. any advice?

WILL IT HURT THE PAINT UNDER THE STICKER?
