I love it! 3 videos in a row!! Definitely some crazy finds. Can't wait for the next video! Keep up the great work!
  • 12:33 That is the end of a Logging Pike. Men called Log Drivers used them to move logs around when the logs were floating down the river to the saw mill. The Log Drivers would run around on the floating log groups as they moved down the river to help keep them together and to sort them out according to log size. The logs were either pulled up river by a team of either draft horses or mules walking along the bank tied to the group of logs or floated down river tied to a boat to keep the logs in a group and away from the banks. I wish I could attach a picture to this comment to show you what I mean. Just Google vintage river logging and you can see pics of it. 🙂
  • Hope you will also keep us updated on your new homestead ??? Awesome 🧲 🎣 finds !!!! 💙👊
  • @daleschroeder232
I've seen square link chain like you're finding on manure spreaders to move the manure toward the back of the spreader. They also used something like that in the power barn cleaners that would clear the manure gutters out of the barn. Either way these chains would fit over a large sprocket that would pull them along in a big loop.

Those enormous horseshoes are probably off of the huge draft horses that would have been pulling the log wagons around. Obviously a lot of logging activity in that area. Love your videos - very relaxing to watch!
  • @daisymay4183
I just love when you find old stuff. I always wonder what's its story behind them. Definitely get you thinking. Love the video
  • Fantastic finds today Tyler. That area holds alot more treasures for you to find. Have a great day my friend ❤️🙂⚘️.
  • @merlealthafer
Hey Tyler. Awesome video today. Love all those logging finds. @16:28 I think(not 100% sure) you may have found a damsel, the axle part of an old millstone. That would be a keeper, for sure, to restore and put on your shelf. Wonder if there was a grist mill there way back in the day and if any more parts of it are in the water, especially the stone?
  • @maryg3143
I am glad you like to go magnet fishing, because I like to watch magnet fishing!
  • @mona2046

Where’s Owen he’s such a little champ. He hangs right in there. He so cute with his magnet.
  • @kittyokat13
That Horseshoe at 15:20 was most likely on a Draft Hoarse or Clydesdale type horse. Massive Animals indeed! So cool!
  • @donnagooch8146
I love watching your shows even turned others onto you keep up the good work!
  • The CWA was a project created under the Federal Emergency Relief Administration (FERA). The CWA created construction jobs, mainly improving or constructing buildings and bridges. It ended on March 31, 1934, after spending $200 million a month and giving jobs to four million people. 13:16 barn cleaner chain or more likely chain on a pull type manure spreader. One old manure spreader had a sell line "NO POLITICIAN SPREADS IT BETTER"
  • @terryosz8458
Thanks for sharing your videos stay safe out there
  • The large wooden roller was used in sawmills lumber mills for rolling wood. Possibly also used for rolling caste iron.
  • @kimmontgomery54
You should definitely restore the fire extinguisher! And the big round thing with the bolt holes is a brake hub! I would love to see the gears that those chains ran around!😂

Have a look online at Clydesdale Horses , which are still being bred but were shipped out to America when they started building the railways. They were also used to pull boats down canals from the bank. Stunning animals that make a cowboy horse look very small. Glad to see that you are carrying on and taking no notice of fake videos.
