Wat many people dont realize is that Croatia "luck" on penalties in 2018 and 2022 is long overdue and not al all undeserved. If you don’t believe, watch Croatia performances and their shocking eliminations in euro 2008, 2012 and 2016 which could have easily gone the other way. We were knocking on the door of having a great result on a major tournament for longer than a decade and it all came back to us in 2018 and 2022

Tournament football is extremely unforgiving. So many details go unnoticed and underappreciated. Team chemistry, the atmosphere in the locker room, leadership on and off the field of play etc. The Croatian official team slogan for Qatar 2022 is ''Family'' and it shows. They play for each other and for the people back home. Kudos to the Brasil team, they were the greatest opponent imaginable in more ways than one.
