How to high jump for beginners

Yep, coach put me in high jump for the meet tomorrow and I suck so badly I cant even make opening height so I am going to try and learn this overnight Update: Damn YouTube just notified me NOW of these replies 😅😂 Glad to know I wasn’t the only one! If you’re wondering what happened, I did not even make it close to opening height and ended up jumping STRAIGHT into the bar all 3 attempts 😂

ive been quarantined and my first day out of quarantine (tomorrow) is a track meet. I’m not too worried about the running because i ran on my own i however happened to forget high jump as it is my first year doing it. This video was literally a life saver thank you so much.

Everyone else’s is like ‘Coach put me in high jump 😥’ and my reason is I’m doing this is bc I’m doing a jump worksheet in lockdown for online school .-.

yeah that's really good, especially since your thirteen and this is your first season. I found that my second season was A LOT better than my first. Everything seemed to click. Have fun high jumping! :)

nice and simple, just perfect for this old man that has not competed in 30+ years. i just needed a refresher for tomorrow in 12 hours and that 14 step J is what i needed to know. i'm 59 years old btw...
