The combat being stiff and bad just means it's a faithful adaptation of the movie.

I find it funny that The Dark Knight is the only one out of the trilogy to not get a video game adaptation.

Movie tie-ins were rarely good, but 7-year-old me didn't care. They might as well have been masterpieces to me at the time.

Also I want to add on, that cancelled Dark Knight game was gonna have additional villains like how the Raimi Spidey games did, not many people seem to know of this tho and there's concept art out there. There's artwork of Electrocutioner, Black Mask and Deadshot

The ending reminds me of the Revenge of the Sith game where every major death is just a lightsaber stab, probably to avoid spoiling what really happens.

I actually remember playing this on my iPad! It was so cool playing a Batman game on the go like this. Plus it had Goku himself voicing Batman. Also, does anyone else find it funny how the budgeted mobile game gave you two vehicles for transportation unlike the big budget AAA Arkham Knight which only gave you the Batmobile.

Sean Schemmell also played a Batman homage, specifically Nobody from TMNT 2003. Ironic that he’d play Batman years later.

I remember trying the Arkham mobile game and not liking it(it played the same as the shitty MK and Injustice mobile games). Then seeing the Dark Knight Rises game, being like "wtf", trying it, and loving it! God it should be illegal for them to delist games we pay for..

27:50 Oh yeah Barsad, I shit you not he's named after some character of the same name in the Charles Dickens story "A Tale of Two Cities" Nolan said that novel inspired his ideas for Dark Knight Rises, and I guess just making up a random League henchman with the name was his way of nodding to it. lmao

Man I loved this game. This was the time Gameloft actually produced games that you could purchase that while we’re either rip offs or shameless cash grabs were solid experiences of the iPod/iPhone

What a great video! So in-depth and a lot more fleshed out than expected. Also, LMAO at the opening and that quick flashback 😭🤣 I miss movie tie-in games so bad. It's cool seeing the TDKR being fleshed out like this, especially since Batman in this universe retired after like one year and then came back for a little bit 8 years later 🤔
  • I actually remember playing this game on my iPod touch lol. From what I remember I was actually able to get through the game without needing to use real money to get more gadgets. Then again, 7-8 year old me had a lot more time to grind than 20 year old me now lol. Mastapiece :D
  • Gonna sound kinda funny but I LOVE the simple metal gear intro and just because if that alone, you sir have earned a subscription
  • i remember thinking this was the coolest thing as a kid. this along with the mobile amazing spider man game
  • That intro got me 🤣 Fun to learn more about this game, always knew it was a thing but didn't know much about it. I always enjoy movie tie-in games and their deviations from the movies and this seems to uphold that tradition well with some somewhat strange choices and surprising accuracy in other places

I remember playing this on my tablet when I was a kid I thought everyone had forgotten about it.
  • @KengKungTV-k2b

  • @maxmfpayne
