D/C Elevating Respect During Riding after Groundwork

Published 2024-06-27
This horse that has been taking advantage of his young rider by taking over the leadership role, was choosing to not listen to me by hiding behind the bit and backing instead of going forward.

You will see me help him to change his posture which in turn freed his mind up- which allowed him to be comfortable instead of frustrated avoiding any contact with his face or body.

Training doesn’t always look pretty until you get the results your after.

You can watch part 1 of this training which was using my Essential Groundwork training to elevate respect:    • D/C Essential Groundwork To Develop A...

Leadership so important and can feel like moving a large building sometimes to achieve. Thank you Dennis <3
  • I watched this video several times and recognized some of this same behavior I have been working on in my newly purchased horses attitude. Thank you for these great videos Dennis

Watched your demonstration on preparing a horse to lift his feet for shoeing. Wondering how you would recommend shoeing a horse with wobblers. Two year old gelding that developed wobblers when he was almost two. He's lifting front feet well and using straps to learn how to lift back legs. Wondering if you would recommend using a strap harness when his feet are trimmed?
