Wow...

This tournament is loaded...the most talented team ever will face the toughest competition ever. Yet, most of the American populus following a Serbia win believes we will "roll" (see "roll" montage).

I don't see it this way, at all...as much as I want the American's to roll, there are roughly 8-10 teams that could beat Team USA. With the most loaded team ever, how is this possible? In this video, I breakdown the reasons

00:00 The Biggest Stage Ever
00:51 The Avengers
02:01 Dispensing of The Dream
03:10 Colossal Odds…Overrated?
04:30 2024 Basketball Rules Conference
07:38 Player Valuations

The fact you produced this before the Sudan and Germany games
  • @rixrobin
Love the avengers scene but not having Anthony Edwards as “Ant man” feels like an obviously missed opportunity.
  • @bentochan8349
everyone talking about ant man but no one talking about using the new zealand flag to represent australia in the opening

The amount of fouls that weren't called made the game immensely more fun to watch. Professional basketball feels like a free throw shooting competition with some basketball in-between now.

Excuse me, how did you miss making Anthony "Ant" Edwards into Ant Man during the Avengers segment?!
  • There IS 3 seconds in the key in FIBA, but only on offence! It’s only the NBA that has a 3-second rule in the defensive key. From the FIBA rules, Article 26.1.1 “A player shall not remain in the opponents' restricted area for more than 3 consecutive seconds while his/her team is in control of a live ball in the frontcourt and the game clock is running.”

Basketball has always been a team sport A team that knows its role can beat a more talented team
  • Easily the most factual, informative and interesting basketball videos on YouTube! I'll excuse the fact you used the New Zealand flag as the Aussie flag this time around 😆

I don't think it's fair to measure the '92 dream team against this year's team by their ability to hit 3 point shots. The game wasn't played that way back then. If the 2024 team were to play the 1992 team I think the winner would almost undoubtedly be decided by if they were playing with 1992 or 2024 rules All that being said, I enjoyed the video, as always. Thank you!

Awesome video! Just wanted to mentioned you mixed up the Australia flag with the New Zealand flag on your table map. Made me think for a second we were in it 😭
  • @Alt0matix
Did ... Did you put the New Zealand flag for Australia?

As an Argentinian, I want the US to win so the 2004 is still one of the biggest achievements in basketball
