Every repair shops bread and butter is a paslode service. These come in constantly and and even when it's a repair, they noramly also need a service as well.

The longest part of a service is actually the cleaning and drying each part.
I sped that part up as it was nearly 30mins alone.

Very Impressive as always Dean, Being able to tear apart a near 20 year old tool with so many components toss all the parts in a pile, clean them and reassemble and have it working good as new while explaining what your doing is a true talent. Thank you for sharing

I have cleaned many of those Paslode Impulse nailers for folks. If I had a dollar for every time someone brought me the tool saying it was broke and I had to tell them that they had an old fuel cell I would be a rich man! I wish that I had your cleaning tub. great job as always!
  • Digging mine out of storage after 15 years, I had it working in a few hours. :-) Thanks.

Yep, Dean, I will be pulling apart an old passlode just like you. Screws and bolts will go flyin through the air to all corners of my bench, some will even fall on the floor, or get wedged in places I won't be able to find them. But it won't matter a hoot, because once its in pieces it will be stayin in pieces, just long enough to put them all in a big plastic shopping bag, because there's no way I'm goin to remember how to put it all back together. Yep pulling it apart is easy, it's the putting it back together that's hard. You just make it "look" so easy.

Have this exact nail gun and it's been one of my most reliable tools with just simple maintenance they were built to last, it just keeps going. Keeping them clean and lubed is the key to longevity.

great to see the full amount of work that goes into a good repair
  • Id be so worried to knock the screws all over the place...Dean just lays them out ! A real pro at identifying and making like new as much as possible!
  • He giving out free classes on how not to screw ball your tools i love it and use it
  • Dean, I have a suggestion. In order to make it possible for anybody to find repair instruction for a tool of a particular make and model you should number your videos and publish a listing of the machines that are serviced in each video.
