China has thousands of years. The people of China have experienced glory and difficulties, and more importantly, their history has never been forgotten by future generations. This gives them the wisdom to survive.

I too get emotional seeing those shows remind my life living through the Japan invasion of China in WW2 when I was 8 years old. We were starving and we almost sold my younger sister to stay alive but luckily we were saved when the bamboo plants surrounding our village flowered and we harvest the bamboo rice.
