So Macaroni Cheese (or Macaroni & Cheese, if you prefer) isn't weird - it's almost as un-weird a food as could be imagined, but apparently finding it in a can is weird, so here it is. I mean, it's been there on the supermarket shelf all my life, and this is the first time I thought of buying it, so yeah, I think I agree that it's weird stuff in a can, certainly for some reason or other.

(reuploaded as a whole track was missing from the render, containing some of the captions and other objects)

So... I appreciate all the answers on the inclusion of the AND in the USA name for this dish. I did ask, and you answered, and that's good... However, for those few insising that the AND is absolutely, utterly semantically vital and it's crazy to omit it, can you tell me what is a Philly Cheesesteak? Presumably just a steak made from cheese, right? Also, what is a tuna mayo sandwich? (I have never heard of mayonnaise made from tuna, but I guess it must be possible); and while we are here, 'Grilled cheese' is just a hunk of cheese, on the grill, right? (there's no need to explain any of the above - I do actually know what they are - I guess my point here is that every English dialect contains things that make no sense to other dialects)

It’s good they added that clip to the can so you can get the lid out after using the can opener

You can open a can very easily by simply placing it in an oven set to maximum heat.

Fun fact: The tab is actually meant to hook the tin on a key chain so that when you are out nowhere and hunger strikes, you give it a good pull and eat the contents off your pants or where ever it lands.
  • I love that some people are watching this and are all like " why isn't he using the pull tabbbb!?" Like it matters at all. This guy has like 150 videos all about cans. He has probably opened thousands of cans in his life. He is as much of an expert as someone opening a can gets.
  • I love how scatty your channel is. One week we're making butter in minutes from double cream and our fingers, then onto puffball mushroom butties then onto weird shit in a can. All we need a the continuing adventures of john warosa and itll be a full house

Heinz to the left of me, Sainsbury's to the right...

I never really felt like I had much of a family, so seeing Mr and Mrs Shrimp having lunch, talking and then doing dishes feels so comforting to me. I always watch weird stuff in a can during meals, so it keeps me company!

For those who care: In Germany we simply refer to this as "Noodles with cheese sauce" (Nudeln mit Käsesauce) and we like to add boiled ham to it.

I was looking away when you mentioned a toucan can opener, and I got my hopes up you had somehow either purchased or engineered a functional can opener that can open two cans at once...

All this talk of Macaroni & Cheese vs Macaroni Cheese, and I'm just sitting here in Canada muttering "Kraft Dinner" to myself.

the built-in can opener: "Why are we here... just to suffer."
  • @willdbeast1523
Never in my life have I seen a tin opener function that effectively
  • @JerryAsano
I hope the toucan can opener can be present in the corner of two can specials even if you aren’t gonna use it.
  • @delimelone
I knew it.. the chewing visualization was missing!

I like how you showed a picture of a mouse when you were trying the macaroni and then proceeded to make a mouse with your plate, spoons and cans for ears... made me smile 😃

the reason why one can is more full than the other is the weight the Sainsbury's sauce is thicker and the Heinz is more watery. I used to work in a factory making canned foods the more watery it is the more full the can.
  • "why not?" Well... because eating cold macaroni and cheese will open a portal into hell. You got lucky this time.

It's so frustrating that some people don't understand that there are side opening and top opening can openers. They have one type so they just assume every other can opener is the same way
