Please take one of the extension tubes out of your thumper. One pipe should go to the bottom of the pot, the other stops just under the lid. You only want vapor coming through the pipe going into your condenser. Also, I think the cold water should go into the bottom of the condenser and hot water out the top line and back into your water cooler.

I appreciate the video, definitely answered a few questions that I couldn't get information on. Thanks

Perfect and to the point. Thank you!

First step is throw that little condenser as far away as possible and build you a good one with a 5 gallon bucket. That way when you get a bigger pot you already have a nice one
-
should only be one line going down into your thumper , the side coming out should not have a line inside the thumper

Welcome to the community my friend. Most everyone involved in the hobby are fine people and willing to help you get off on the right foot. ( including myself ) If you haven't yet, be sure to check out " barley and hops, Still it and still works and brewing " all fantastic resources . I know your post is several months old at this point, but have fun and enjoy the hobby safely and responsibly. Oh, and MERRY Christmas !!!!! --den

Do you the lid diameter of the boil kettle? I have a grain father and would like to use that to boil if possible.

Great video. I have the same still. I find the thumper keg works better if you do not screw on the second pipe where the steam leaves the thumper for the condensing worm. You can fill your thumper to about a third of the way up with some of your wort or fruits to flavour your final product and works better if there is space above the fluid level in the thumper and the top of the pot. You cannot do this if both pipes are attached.

I got the same set up on Amazon a 3 gallon distillery, and there’s no damn instructions in it . So I saw this vid, and copied you , and I realized that the thumper set up you did didn’t make sense ??? So I re-read the comments and most ppl were saying that you did it wrong , and I was like oh shit ! I did it to . I’m a beginner, so I’m glade I caught it on time before I screw up . Thanks for the intro .

The way I see it is pure science, in other words, at sea level water vaporizes at 212°F and alcohol vaporizes at 93°F. So if you can keep the temperature under 212 you got a good still run. Am I not correct on this?

Thanks for tips!

Liked your video but I can't figure out how to install thumper gasket seems just a little to small
