Some of Ford’s best work in the styling department right there.

Almost all of my comments disappeared. I have built FEs for over 40 years. I know who owns the Fairlane and it is legit. All they need is a set of valve springs and one piece retainers and they will rev. The heads and intake manifolds work well together but the first thing I tuned was good springs and one piece retainers so it would rev to 6000 rpms+ the cam in 1966 was the B cam that came in the Cobra jet 428 that had 20 more degrees on the exhaust side to make up for the unibody manifolds. Ford developed a great tuning guide with these cars. And they learned a lot in dyno testing. Most slow cars were just not properly tuned. The C cam was legal in the 428CJ. Once you get the 390 to rev they make 400 hp. I have done stock legal engines that did 410 hp with more ring gap and bearing clearance on the wide side with C6AER heads and 2.04/1.56 valves stock 45 degree valve job with factory 30 degree back cut. And they did run low 13s and a high 12 on occasion, 4.11s and a C6 ran in drive with the R servo would shift at 6000. Did you hear it? Please don’t delete this, I really have done this for a living. I won’t even go into what you can do on a distributor machine.

Right out of high school (1971) I came across a '67 Fairlane just like this one sitting on a used car lot. I wanted it SO bad. What an awesome car. Only two problems...I had no money and I had no job. 8-(

I love the vertical stacked headlights, that ford is a beautiful design! Haven't seen many Ford's in psmcdr, nice to see one clean house!

Fairlane with the C6 Automatic. Good trans that I personally helped build at Ford's Livonia Trans plant back then.

Love the vertical stacked headlights of the mid sixties Fairlanes
  • nice to see a Ford for a change. For some reason they don't have many in Pure Stock racing.
  • I have a 66 Thunderbird with a 390fe. It has Zero balls. That fairlane had some work done for sure. What an amazing car. Just beautiful.
  • Now that is FUN racing! For both the drivers and the viewing crowd! Beautiful Fairlane!
  • @RMAGEDN740
Probably the best matchup I've seen on your channel!

Gotta love that message in the Camaro's rear window. "I know, I know, license and registration!" : ) 🚘 👮‍♂️ 🚔

These vehicles shows how American products were well made with pride and dedication with style. Love the chrome appearance.

I had a GT390 engine from a wrecked Fairlane GT in my ‘62 Ford F100 4x4. That truck was the envy of every other 4 wheeler present wherever I went off-roading. Which I used to do about every weekend.
