I love your makeup! My go-to braid for making buns is definitely the rope braid. Once you get the hand of it, I find it's by far the quickest to braid. Plus, it's symmetrical so you don't need to care about what side of it is showing, and you can even twist it a bit to make it easier to pin neatly. Maybe you'd like to try it :)

When pulling your hair over your shoulder to finish braiding, you are supposed to braid the opposite of what you started with. Meaning if you are doing an over braid when you start, you’d do an under braid when you pull it over your shoulders. This way there is no twist in the braid and it is seamless all the way down.

I have a lot of hair and when it was long, I got headaches from it. When I wanted a ponytail, I had to make 2 with one up high and another underneath. Too much work. I now have a pixie and it looks good all the time.
