  • This is chapter 2 in the “Matt and Heisel film an episode together” saga. This one really had me putting my set construction skills to work, and I think my labor paid off to make another stellar piece of EE93 world building. Thanks again for letting me be part of these videos Matt!

Gotta love how this is an origin story for one of your most famous engines on this series! And what a sweet origin, too! Lovely work here, man!
  • This is just SO beautiful Matt! From the sets, to the storyline; everything just works so perfectly! Glad I could help out with this one, I’ll be ready for anything else you through at me🙂
  • Awwww! Young Tucker is so cute! I can imagine an engine being named after him, red, looks like Thomas.
  • So this is the origin of Young Tucker eh? I assume the whole idea stemmed from those scrap models of Thomas always being in the model series? I like how it gave light to the Experimental Engines and Diesel 10. Brilliant story!
  • The title alone is a win in my eyes. I love how you focused on a subject most people would try to build a dark or depressing story around and made it wholesome. The extra bit of backstory for certain characters was also really nice to see. Overall this was a really sweet episode with a simple, charming story and plenty of wonderful Easter eggs here and there.

THE MUSIC BUILDING UP TO THE REVEAL AT THE END IS SO GOOD I love this
  • This is a wonderful little bundle of wholesomeness that I needed this month. Simple, but clever. P.S. Love that little cameo of Christine in the workshops. Wink wink.

I love how this explains Season 1 so well. And then getting into JBS and Diesel 10 and Young Tucker, and OH WOW that was great. Couldn't help but notice the zero on pre-Tucker's rusty side. I love that song you used in the credits. This explains so much, it honestly does, and I'm extremely interested in your interpretation of the JBS characters. As someone who hates JBS, I am legitimately intrigued.
  • The ending really made me jump for a second! Seriously though... great job on the episode. Feels like a prequel to Young Tucker!

I like the interaction between the fat controller and Thomas, it’s some friendly interaction we haven’t really seen before and it’s nice!
  • I love that the universally accepted thing in the thomas and friends fan community is the fact generally everyone's headcanon/go-to voice for Toby is Tines and Edward's is EE93. Great video as always!

Emotional and beautiful episode. I was surprised at the end of Tucker, until the end where Tucker (from S2) came to be.

I’ve watched this three times now it’s just that good! I really enjoyed this, wonderful work by both you and Heisel!

Considering the first few stories behind the origins of that said engine I hope this can continue on to make it where Thomas can have a brother/sister and not be the only one of his class anymore

Half-way in I had a feeling this was a backstory for a certain young engine... and I was still pleasantly surprised! Also I find it amazing how you flawlessly managed to tie in elements from different eras into your series lore. This raises some interesting questions: Since the experimental engines were going to be part of a heritage/museum railway type deal, does this mean they were abandoned? Or maybe the original owners purposely hid them away to protect them from Diesel 10? He IS possibly the reason the project feel apart, or at least had a part in it. I honestly hope we get a more in-depth explanation at some point. I wanna know more about this benefactor character too...

And thus ends the origin story of a character who was the most watched video on this channel at one point.
