People make fun of Delta because hes so frail compared to regular Big Daddies, but in reality, him and his line could be the best. Theyve got an enormous amount of growth. And seriously, a Big Daddy utililizing weapons AND Plasmid attacks? Freakin terrifying

My fave review of big daddies and BS2 on steam: "You're a dad who protects daughters and fights other dads to become the daddiest dad in town".

I can’t stop thinking about the first encounter with Cohen when there’s those big ass curtains and the amazing, melancholy music
  • somehow, the thought of big daddies protecting little sisters always make me cry out of happiness......

Well they were basically dads who protected their daughters and they were at a towering 7 feet do the term "Big Daddy" would be appropriate.

Big Daddies are literally swimming in ADAM which is why they glow.

I always felt bad about killing a big daddy because they were peaceful as long as you didn't attack their little sisters. Also just looking at their relationship with the sisters makes it 10x sadder when you kill them.

I'm 6ft 1in, and so when my 1 year old niece takes my hand (frequently just index finger) to lead me somewhere, I'm generally hunched over like Subject Delta in the opening cut scene. For my own amusement, I sorta try to make my footsteps seem lumbering and heavy. Shame that I'm the only one in my family that has ever played any of the BioShock games, since any references to Big Daddies would be lost on them, and imitating Big Daddy whale call noises would only further cement me as the "weird son" or "weird brother".
  • I made a proper Big daddy bouncer cosplay with lights and moving hand drill. My life is complete.

Honestly, the story of Johnny Topside, or Delta, broke my heart. He stumbled across Rapture, was forcefully placed into the Alpha series experiments, protected his daughter as a Big Daddy then was forced to kill himself in front of her by her own mother. Then he’s brought back to life several years later, tries to find Eleanor again, only to have everything thrown in his path. And unlike Jack, who had a somewhat small impact on his timeline, Delta’s every move affected what kind of woman Eleanor would become. Even if he spared all the little sisters, should he kill Grace, Stanley and Gil, Eleanor will not save Sofia and will not take Delta’s soul into herself, instead she will let him watch the ocean as he passes away.
