Why does Garchomp look like it evolved from a flying type?

Guess that “explains” why it can fly. The biggest jumpscares I had playing Violet was seeing Garchomp flying because I didn’t know that was possible(I haven’t watched the anime since Johto so maybe it could always fly and I didn’t know). If it wasn’t in a flying pose I would’ve thought it was a glitch. I guess those different fluid dynamics would explain its anatomy and why it can fly. Or realistically maybe it can only glide with those tiny wings and dragon typing.
